About Courtney

 

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in body piercing and tattooing. Body piercing was a family legacy for me – my mom became a body piercer when I was 14 and began apprenticing me to take over the piercing side of her business in 2006. I continued my education with Michael Beale of Steve’s Tattoo in Madison, WI. I’ve had coursework in bloodborne pathogens, hold certifications through the Red Cross for First Aid and CPR and attended the 2011 Association of Professional Piercers Convention in Las Vegas.

 

I’m excited to bring my experience to this area with Epic Studios. Aside from body piercing, I’ve also spent the last few years on a pre-medical focused Bachelor’s degree at University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, specializing in toxicology and human anatomy/physiology.

 

I received my first piercing, a Monroe, at age 16 and since have had about 20 more piercings and 75% of my body tattooed. I’m always interested in furthering my education in this field as different tools and methods are developed for body piercing.
